Yin Deficiency Constitution (阴虚质)

Yin is the body’s cooling, moistening reserve. When it runs low, relative heat appears: hot palms and soles, a dry mouth and throat, restlessness and light, easily broken sleep.

Common Signs

  • Hot palms and soles, especially at night
  • Dry mouth and throat, wanting to sip water
  • Irritability or difficulty falling asleep
  • Tendency to dry stools

Eating for This Type

Favor: Nourishing, moistening foods: tremella (snow fungus), lily bulb, mulberry, sesame, duck, pear (cooked in cool weather), goji berries.

Go easy on: Spicy, fried and barbecued foods, alcohol in excess, and above all chronic late nights — staying up burns Yin fastest.

Lifestyle Direction

Protect sleep as the top priority. Choose calm exercise (yoga, walking, swimming) over sweat-drenching workouts, and schedule real downtime.
